Week 2 - Osteoporosis Images

This image specifically shows the degradation of bone structure which is particularly what I am interested in - breaking down structure to its minimum holding capacity. I find that as the structure becomes more minimal, it actually becomes more beautiful and refined allowing the spectator to explore and see more clearly the fragility of the structure.
The texture on this image provides extra interest in the form of the structure. It shows a model as a whole statue, I use the word statue as it is representative of the human form as bone is the base structure for the human form.

This close up shows the dimpled effect on the bone which accentuates that it is being worn away and broken down.

This image shows a more porceline like texture to the bone, reflecting its fragility of structure.

I find this image particularly beautiful. It artistically reflects the shattering of the bone structure. It would be nice to somehow portray my model in this manner, though I expect that would be difficult without extensive experience in grasshopper.

This is a really effective way to present the breakdown of the bone structure. The compaction of the osteoporosis between the solid forms highlights the breakdown of the structure.

This image depicts a possible way to create a model of osteoporosis through punching holes in a rectangular prism.

This iteration shows how I may be able to commence the modelling of bone structure in its most simple form. I would hope to be able to make the pipes between the vertices more sculptural, tapering towards the midline.
